This is an 8 week program where Children are placed in a team (between 5 and 6 players to a team). Teams then play in a round robin format against other teams. When a team does not have a fixture they work on their skills in our skills square. This allows Players’ to develop their skills, then put them to practice in their teams fixtures’ (games against other teams).

For example:

9.00 – 9.10am – Team 1 v Team 3 (Team 2 & 4 – Skill Square)

9.10 – 9.20am – Team 2 v Team 4 (Team 1 & 3 – Skill square)

The Season is the next step above School programs in our Player pathways. The majority of 7 year olds start playing Club soccer in the junior leagues after playing in a TFA Season. We feel this is a great bridging gap for Players’ to get a taste of playing in a team before they play Club soccer, whilst also allowing them to understand the game. Also it means Parents’ only travel to one venue each week, (e.g. Bond University) rather than travelling to other clubs (different venues every week).

TFA runs three different Season programs – First Kicks, Mini Kickers and Super 5’s.

First Kicks for 4-5 year olds

First Kicks soccer games are played inside inflatable fields, which is a great way of capturing the imagination of young players, giving them a great soccer experience. Training sessions take place inside a skills square focusing on different basic skills each week, such as dribbling, turning and shooting. As part of the program players also receive a free soccer kit (shirt top and shorts). School programs are run over 6 weeks and last an hour. Saturday competitions place players into teams and are run over 8 weeks, for 1 hour 30 minutes duration.

Mini Kickers for 6-7 year olds

Mini Kickers soccer games are played inside inflatable fields, which is a great way of capturing the imagination of young players, giving them a great soccer experience.
